Mool Dwarka
DirectionMool Dwarka, located near Kodinar in the Gir Somnath district, is a significant spiritual site deeply connected to the legend of Lord Krishna. According to mythology, it is believed to be the first place Lord Krishna stayed when he traveled from Mathura to Dwarka, making it an essential stop for devotees on the “Pancha Dwarka” pilgrimage. The site is home to an ancient temple and a historic deep well where, as per local lore, Lord Krishna bathed. The area also features a coastal village setting, providing a peaceful environment for pilgrims and history enthusiasts. Beyond its spiritual significance, the region is also home to the modern Mool Dwarka Port, which serves as a major industrial hub for cement and coal handling.
